To meet the increasing demand and in order to further strengthen our position within the international industry, we are currently looking for a:

Process engineer with an operational focus in Water Technology.

You will be responsible for delivering Waterleau's promised solutions to our customers. As a team member, you will play a key role in the operation of Waterleau's (waste) water installations in the BeNeLux region and managing various international service level agreements. This position offers independence and flexibility, with the potential for work at different locations, participation in standby shifts, and occasional travel requirements.

Main responsabilities

  • Ensure the reliable operation of water treatment plant(s) or pilot tests by closely monitoring daily activities to maintain the desired quality standards.
  • Collaborate with operators to establish and enforce procedures for daily operations and troubleshooting.
  • Provide guidance to operators and develop protocols for weekend and night shifts.
  • Prioritize efficiency and effectiveness by proposing improvements, with a specific focus on reducing operational expenses (opex).
  • Perform occasional on-site process audits and troubleshooting as required.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), handle administrative tasks, and prepare reports.
  • Implementing small improvement projects.
  • First point of contact for the customer.

You have a technical education (bio engineer, industrial engineer in chemistry, biochemistry or equivalent by experience).

  • Relevant experience in a biological water treatment environment is a significant advantage.
  • You have experience in an (automated) production environment
  • You are motivated and eager to bring in your own input.
  • You have a sense of initiative and a practical attitude, looking for solutions.
  • You are flexible and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are a good communicator (NL-FR-EN).
  • You have a driver's license (B).
