Global Water Awards 2024
Annually, the Global Water Awards are part of the Global Water Summit, a leading business event for the global water sector. Initiated in 2006 by Global Water Intelligence, these awards celebrate key accomplishments across the water industry in various categories. They honour advancements in water, wastewater, and desalination sectors that are advancing the field through enhanced operational efficiency, adoption of innovative technologies, and the implementation of sustainable financial practices. Nominees for the Global Water Awards are selected by an expert panel, with the final winners determined by votes from subscribers of Global Water Intelligence and Water Desalination Report, mirroring the consensus of the global water community.
Shortlisted for industrial project of the year
Brewery Martens has been nominated for the Global Water Awards as Industrial Project of the Year by Global Water Intelligence (GWI). The brewery is a showcase in circular water use setting new industry standards in water efficiency. For every liter beer, Martens Brewery needs only 1,2 liter water, an industry record ! In response to the need for increased capacity, we've successfully upgraded their #wastewater treatment infrastructure, transforming it into a sustainable solution that excels in water, energy, and heat recovery.
