Sharing sewage treatment know-how with Egypt infrastructure consultants.
LUCAS® Municipal Wastewater Treatment Infrastructure supported by HCWW
LUCAS® technology endorsed by Egypt's Ministry of housing and infrastructure.
Yesterday, Waterleau Egypt welcomed over 80 engineers and municipal infrastructure experts for a technical seminar on the LUCAS® municipal wastewater treatment technology.
The LUCAS® cyclic activated sludge (CAS) system, designed for optimized nutrient removal and energy-efficient operation, was recently approved by the Scientific Committee of Egypt’s Ministry of Housing, Utilities & Urban Communities — confirming its compliance with national wastewater treatment standards.
Held at the HCWW (Holding Company for Water and Wastewater) Training Center, the session featured detailed presentations by Stijn Wyffels, Mahmoud Mostafa and Hesham Salem, highlighting key design parameters, operational performance metrics, and the system’s scalability for decentralized and peri-urban installations.
With its proven track record in similar climatic and infrastructural contexts, LUCAS® offers a compact, modular solution well-suited to Egypt’s wastewater treatment challenges.
With the LUCAS® cyclic activated sludge (CAS) system, we are already treating 1.800.000 m³ of household wastewater per day. The equivalent of 720
Olympic swimming pools. Making it available for reuse. Every drop
