The BIOTIM® AnMBR technology combines BIOTIM® UASB anaerobic technology with cross-flow membrane extraction. The smart combination allows to recover energy from high polluted wastewater while producing a high-quality effluent in a compact set-up.
A permeate, ready for reuse
After equalization the high-strength wastewater is sent to the BIOTIM® anaerobic reactor where the anaerobic sludge converts the organic pollution into methane. After anaerobic treatment, the Membrane Bioreactor separates the permeate from the solids. The solids-free high-quality permeate is ready for safe discharge or further polishing and eventually, for reuse
Compact solution
The BIOTIM® AnMBR offers a compact solution producing a high-quality permeate, free of solids, and unfolding the energy potential of the wastewater organic pollution. Including the cross-flow membrane technology allows to keep the footprint significantly lower compared to a conventional aerobic and membrane post treatment. The energy recovery helps limiting operating cost making the BIOTIM® AnMBR a sustainable solution for the treatment of smaller high-strength wastewater flows when high-quality effluent is required.
