Site supervisor
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Waterleau’s technical specifications, safety policies, and quality standards.
- Monitor daily construction progress and align with planning milestones.
- Act as Waterleau’s technical representative on site—raising NCRs and guiding contractors toward expected standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams: QHSE, Engineering, Project Management, AIM (Commissioning), and Supply Chain.
- Support execution from Gate 6 (civil readiness) to Gate 8 (commissioning readiness). • Ensure site readiness for commissioning, including documentation and inspections.
- Lead field reporting: weekly progress reports, annotated photos, safety observations, punch lists.
- Participate in toolbox talks, client meetings, and daily coordination with subcontractors
- Identify risks in execution and planning, proposing improvements or mitigations
Required skills and experience
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with field-based decision-making capability.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills across diverse teams and cultures.
- Hands-on safety mindset; promotes HSE compliance and culture on site.
- Highly organized with strong documentation and reporting discipline.
- Capable of working autonomously in dynamic, high-pressure site environments.
- Conflict resolution and influence skills (without direct authority over contractors).
- Familiarity with ISO-aligned project documentation and QA/QC processes.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of site supervision experience in industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working in EPC/project-based environments preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication in English; Other languages is a plus
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% or more (primarily Europe and Africa).
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
