Sustainable water use at the AB InBev SAB Alrode Brewery
We're thrilled to announce our latest contribution to sustainable water use at the AB InBev SAB Alrode Brewery, the largest brewery and maltery in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Our team has successfully implemented a new anaerobic reactor, enhancing the brewery's ability to treat wastewater and meet stringent effluent quality standards.
This state-of-the-art reactor processes organic pollutants found in the wastewater, converting them into an impressive 6,000 Nm³ of biogas daily. This significant achievement not only supports environmental sustainability but also showcases the innovative capabilities of our teams in Johannesburg and Wespelaar.
The job was completed in 15 months, from first spade in the soil until SAT testing.
Great job, team Waterleau! Here's to many more successes in advancing green technologies.
