STERELEC® electrochlorinator

Our STERELEC® electro-chlorinator is a safe way for producing sodium hypochlorite using electrolysis of seawater.

The STERELEC® electrochlorinator produces, in situ a dilute, safe solution of sodium hypochlorite for direct injection into the water circuit. A low voltage DC current is applied to two electrodes submerged in seawater. When electrolysis is triggered, sodium hypochloride is instantly produced as is hydrogen gas (H2), which is safely vented into the atmosphere.
