A MBR membrane overhaul for one of our potato industry customers

A challenging MBR membrane overhaul was completed for one of our potato industry customers in Belgium last year. It was the first part of a broader #optimization of the complete #MBR treatment.
Slightly different dimensions and way of operations of the new cassettes made this overhaul not easy. But with good preparation and co-operation with the customer, the overhaul was executed with success. This within the limited timeframe foreseen and not impacting overall operation of the wastewater treatment plant.
Nice to know: The new MBR-cassettes have not only 25% larger filtering surface area enabling extra filtration capacity and smoother operation. Also the energy consumption for the coarse bubble aeration is less.
A big thanks to our colleagues who kept this project on track: Klaas Malisse, Frederik Vercammen, Goethals Lode
