Sustainable Innovation at Atyrau: Waterleau's Advanced Wastewater Treatment Project in Kazakhstan
We are supporting our client, Enertek, with the implementation of their sustainable development goals through the pre-treatment of wastewater at the Atyrau oil refinery plant.
Highlighting our engineers' efforts with Krofta Supracell technology to meet sustainable development goals at Enertek's oil refinery.
Our project engineers are working at full steam in #Kazakhstan! We are supporting our client, Enertek, with the implementation of their sustainable development goals through the pre-treatment of wastewater at the Atyrau oil refinery plant.
In the wastewater pre-treatment stage, two Krofta Supracell SPC 30 DAF units separate oil from the wastewater, removing up to 24 tons of oil and suspended solids daily from 24,000m³ of wastewater. Following pre-treatment, the water undergoes biological and tertiary treatments; subsequently, part of the cleansed water is either reused or safely discharged.
The Krofta Supracell SPC-30 units have just been installed. They were constructed at the Waterleau Technics workshop for Krofta and assembled on-site.
Kudos to the Waterleau team in Kazakhstan: Mohamed Chouyouhi, Mirko Simoens, Maarten Forrier, Lieven de Schrijver, and Frank van Put.
