Effluent treatment beverage

Waterleau entered into an agreement with a Massachusetts cranberry processor for the installation of an anaerobic reactor to treat the wastewater generated at the cranberry processing facility prior to discharge into groundwater infiltration basins. Previously, wastewater generated by the cranberry processing operation was ineffectively treated in a large four-cell lagoon aerobic treatment system.

Waterleau installed a 1-module pulsed upflow sand-media anaerobic reactor with final aerobic RBC polishing and a Krofta® DAF for clarification to process a normal hydraulic flow of 35,000 gpd, up to 50,000 gpd.

For similar applications, Waterleau now offers an updated reactor configuration from the BIOTIM® family of anaerobic systems.
